WALKER, Elizabeth (Betty) McGrath Skinner The family of Betty Walker sadly announce her sudden passing, at her home, on July 20, 2016. Betty was just one month shy of her 87th birthday. She was born in Carmyle, Scotland August 23, 1929 and came to Canada with her husband Peter in 1953. Betty was the loving mother of Archie (Jaimie), Helen, and Jim (Launa). She is predeceased by her husband Peter and her daughter Anne Marie. Betty also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and her sisters Moira and Anna in Scotland and their families. The family would like to acknowledge the care and support of Lisa Oakes, Meals on Wheels, and the HPL Visiting Library Services in helping our mother live independently and comfortably in her home. A celebration of Betty’s life will take place at Ye Olde Squire at Fennell Ave. and Upper Wentworth St., Hamilton on Wednesday, July 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to “Mountain Kidz Klub” would be appreciated.
