Walter WIEGELS
WIEGELS, Walter On March 22, 2017, Walter, a true gentleman, devout friend and skilled pilot, flew from this life on eternal wings. Born on March 31, 1928, a survivor of WWII, Walter emigrated from his birthplace in Germany to proudly take on Canadian Citizenship in 1952. Although having worked in several professions in his long life, he was most passionate about flying and the unique perspective, which this activity afforded him. His friends and many acquaintances in the Experimental Aircraft Association and the aviation community at large will miss him profoundly. Walter is survived by sisters in Denmark and the USA. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME , 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of The Angels Cemetery.
