Kathleen Mary (Kathy/ Katy) ZAMORA
ZAMORA, Kathleen Mary (Kathy/ Katy) RN, Graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing 1959. Peacefully passed away at St. Joseph’s Healthcare on August 16, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones in her seventy-ninth year. Beloved wife of Dr. Emil Zamora for fifty seven wonderful years. Loving mother of Dr. Mary Zamora and her husband Dr. James Kovacs, Nicholas and his wife Dr. Valerie Lewis, Theresa, Christopher and his wife Brenda Piquette, and Jamie and his wife Antonietta Cerroni. Loving grandmother of Arielle, Elise, Aleka, Nathaniel, Spencer and Kathleen. Beloved sister of Patricia Lore and her husband Chris Lore, Victoria Shegda and her husband Fred Shegda and Paul Sanderson and his wife Josette Sanderson. Beloved aunt of Mark, Michael, Marisha and Ben. Predeceased by her loving parents Margaret and Bert Sanderson and her grandparents Edmay and Thomas Murphy. With special mention, beloved Aunt of Tim Jenkins, Louise Julian, John Julian, Bobby Julian, Brenda Julian, Sam Taggart, Terry Taggart, Cathy Taggart, Donny Taggart, Chrissy Taggart, their families and predeceased by her siblings Hugh Taggart, Mary Julian and Sam Taggart. She will be greatly missed by life long friend and her maid of honour, Mary Murray and best man, Alex Murray. A sincere thanks to her caring physician and friend of over 25 years, Dr. Michael Achong, the wonderful staff at St. Joseph’s Healthcare and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. On behalf of the family, a heartfelt thanks to her very dear friends Wendy and Ken Pelletier, Margaret and Armand Borsato, wonderful neighbours Tony and Lucy DiLoretto and her many other friends and family who contributed to making her life so special. She will of course be sadly missed by her beloved cats Willow and Sara. Visitation will be held at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME , 36 LAKE AVENUE DRIVE, STONEY CREEK, ONTARIO, L8G 3N3 on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be recited Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 304 Highway 8, Stoney Creek, Ontario L8G 1E6 Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation-Department of Psychiatry, St. Francis Xavier Parish, and the Hamilton -Burlington SPCA.
