RAKOVALIS, Athena May 10, 1924 – April 23, 2018 Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 23, 2018 in her 94th year. Athena will be reunited in heaven with her loving husband Andrew and devoted son John. Loving mother to George, Gus, Sofia (Alexander) and her daughters-in-law Mary, Dorothy and Effie. Very special Baba-Tina to William, Athena, Andrew (Rose), Angelo (Melanie), Nicholas, Kimberly, Theodore, Andrew, Timothy and great-grandmother to Ava. Predeceased by her brothers Jim and Peter.
Athena’s smile, courage, and love will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and dear friends at Markhaven.
Visitation to be held at the Glendale Funeral Home, 1810 Albion Rd. (at Hwy. 27), 416-679-1803, on Sunday, April 29th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 30th at 10 a.m. from Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1 Brookhaven Dr. in Toronto. Interment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
